Shiny and metallic, two adjectives that define everything cool right now. Today I used again the mirror paper that was useful to make the Vuitton inspired metal peter pan collar to bring these shoes back on trend. I bought these shoes a few years ago along with a matching bag (with crocodile embossing my weakness) and apparently pastel colors were as trendy as today. I just cut off a piece of mirror paper and glued it onto the shoes. I think that pointy toes will give the better result on this project because the mirror paper is quite stiff and can't be bended on rounded surfaces. The toe cap is not the only detail that can be made. You can also cut different shapes and decorate the heel for example, unleash your creativity.

Insomma sbizzarritevi.

Hi @Vidhya, there wasn't any brand but It does look less shiny in shop because there is a protective film over it to avoid scratches!

I've been looking for ways to do this, and thought it would have to be a more expensive route, but came across your blog so thanks for the tip. When I went to look for mirrored paper, it was extremely thin, is that the type you used?

Any brand or type of mirrored paper would help me in my search at the art stores.

Thanks!

Hi

I've been wanting to do this with my shoes, and thankfully I came across your blog to give me an inexpensive idea!

The mirrored paper I found is very thin and flexible, is that the type you used?

If you can let me know the brand, or type of mirrored paper you used, it will help me in my search across the art stores.

Thank you!

@blacknwhite unfortunately there wasn't any brand and it was the only mirror paper available.

I suggest you to try with the one you found. Try to make the cap shape and see if it works. Thin and flexible sounds nice maybe you'll be able to make the shape easily. If you're worried if it will last or not you can try to glue the paper on another curved surface that gets stressed to make a test and see if it worns out easily or not.

At the time, Christian Louboutin Sale , try to use nail polish on the shoe soles. Today, scarlet soles became a symbol of ultimate luxury shoes.
